Condair Vita: New high pressure humidifier

Condair is launching the Condair Vita, its next-generation direct-room spray humidifier. This adiabatic system combines a high-pressure pump station with water treatment options and a wide choice of spray heads. Its flexible configuration allows it to perfectly meet the varied needs of medium to large direct-room humidification projects.

At the heart of the Condair Vita is a high-pressure pump and water treatment station available in capacities of 100, 300 and 500kg/h. It can be configured with integrated reverse osmosis, UV water sterilisation, deionisation and CO2 water conditioning technologies. These options ensure reliable germ-free, demineralised water supply, and can be tailored to meet project-specific requirements.

Condair Vita spray heads can be wall or ceiling-mounted, are very quiet in operation and incorporate a fan to rapidly disperse the aerosol. Five spray head models offer a range of output capacities from 1.5 to 52kg/h. The smallest is an attractively compact unit, ideal for offices spaces, and the largest distribution system is suited to factories and warehouses.

An additional Condair Vita Line distribution system offers a series of high-pressure nozzles mounted along a pipeline, each operating without a fan or electrical connection. The number of nozzles is unlimited, so the Vita Line is ideal for very large industrial spaces, agricultural or greenhouse applications. It provides even humidity distribution across wide spaces and is ideal where electrical connections for individual spray heads are not practical.

As the Condair Vita operates independently of an air handling unit, it is ideal for both new installations and retrofit projects. High-pressure spray humidifiers use a fraction of the energy consumed by steam humidifiers, with a 100kg/h system needing less 2kW of electricity. The energy needed to evaporate the water comes from the air, which results in an evaporative cooling effect. This “free” cooling can be very beneficial in production environments and equates to around 68kW of cooling for every 100kg of humidity.

“Humidity has a direct impact on product quality, employee wellbeing and process efficiency,” said Jordan Stevens, Sales Manager at Condair. “With Condair Vita, we have combined our expertise in humidification, water treatment and controls to deliver an efficient, hygienic and flexible solution. Its configurable options make its suitable for a huge range of applications; from offices to warehouses, or concert halls to outdoor cooling. The Condair Vita provides reliable humidity, with the required water quality, exactly how and where it is needed.

Jordan continues, “Condair Vita also offers the latest IoT and BMS connectivity, enabling remote monitoring and control by in-house facilities teams or Condair. This new generation of manufacturer-connected humidifier gives customers confidence that their system is performing correctly and supports maintenance only when required, improving both performance and operating costs.”
