Condair OptiSorp

Multiple steam distribution system
In the Optisorp steam distribution system, steam is distributed across the entire duct cross-section by a number of distribution pipes fitted with a large number of nozzles. The steam absorption distance is up to 4 times shorter than with conventional steam distribution pipes.

Shorting the humidification-distance

Main-flow nozzles introduce hot, condensate‑free steam directly into the airstream, ensuring immediate and even moisture absorption. This keeps ducts dry and allows the required humidification distance to be significantly reduced, even in tight or challenging installation conditions.

Main-flow nozzles facilitate condensation free steam

Main-flow nozzles remove steam from the middle of the distribution pipes where it is hot and condensate-free. This ensures that the air hoses behind the distribution system remain dry.

Made from solid stainless steel and free of plastic

The steam distribution system is made of solid stainless steel. This makes it resistant to the effects of temperature and aging. All pipe connections remain continuously watertight and fault-free even after long operation

Gorch Fock

The famous training ship of the German Navy was built by the traditional Hamburg shipyard Blohm & Voss and laid down on August 23, 1958. Its name comes from a Low German writer who became famous for his novels about seafaring and who fell in the Battle of Jutland, the largest naval battle of World War I. To date, the Gorch Fock has covered over 740,000 nautical miles, called at 439 ports, and visited 60 territories on all continents.

As a floating ambassador for the Federal Republic of Germany, it participates in numerous international regattas, and until the introduction of the euro in 1999, its image was featured on the back of the ten-mark note. The Gorch Fock has a regular crew of 69 (maximum: 222), a main mast that rises 45.3 meters above the waterline, 23 sails with a total sail area of 1,952 square meters, and Condair's Optisorp multiple steam distribution system.

Liverpool Hospital

Liverpool Hospital is located in the south-western suburbs of Liverpool, New South Wales and is 50 minutes away from the Sydney CBD. It is the largest hospital in New South Wales and one of the leading trauma centres in Australia.

GEN Pharmaceuticals

With its fast and steady growth for more than 20 years, GEN became the fastest growing pharmaceutical company in Turkey with its GMP certificated production facility based in Ankara. Since there is no humidification chamber in the AHU of the project, Condair Optisorp is selected because absorption was required especially at very short distance to the plenum at the AHU outlet.

Royal Sussex County Hospital

Three Condair EL steam humidifiers are supplying up to 80kg/h of hygienic steam humidification to two AHU's serving test labs in the radiology department.Space was a challenge during the project, as the AHU humidifier sections are relatively short in length. The steam needed to be introduced to the ducts, with a low airspeed of around 1m/s, and be fully absorbed into the air before it met a filter just 1m downstream. This was no problem for the Condair Optisorp steam manifold though. One of these rapid evaporation steam lances is introducing up to 30kg/h with full evaporation in just 25cms, whilst another is delivering up to 50kg/h of steam in just 34cms.
