Floor-standing devices not up-to-date
In the course of planning the new building, the museum also looked for new climate solutions: "For our sensitive graphics and caricatures, a constant, relative humidity of 55% is required to protect against cracks and breaks," explains research assistant Sandra Wiedemann. "In the old building," Wiedemann continues, "we used floor-standing evaporator units for many years, which had to be refilled daily with a watering can. This was very labourious, cost a lot of time and energy. In addition, there were frequent filter changes and expensive cleaning."

Easy to use
Since 2008, six DRAABE NanoFog humidifiers have been in operation in old and new buildings: The humidifiers are installed directly on the walls and distribute a fine, barely visible spray mist into the room air when required. The water supply is provided by a water treatment system connected to the building services, which is automatically replaced every six months together with other system elements. "We don't have to worry about anything now - that's a great relief compared to before. For us, the DRAABE air humidification system is the optimal solution," Sandra Wiedemann summarizes with satisfaction.
