Torre Cepsa Madrid: Spain’s Tallest Skyscraper & Advanced Climate Control
Torre Cepsa is one of the most striking architectural achievements in the Spanish capital, forming part of the prestigious “Cuatro Torres Business Area.” Built in 2008 on the former training grounds of the Real Madrid football club, the tower stands at an impressive 249.5 meters, making it the tallest skyscraper in Spain and one of the ten tallest buildings in all of Europe. With 45 floors rising above the city, the structure has become a defining element of Madrid’s contemporary skyline, symbolising the city’s ambition, urban development and commitment to innovative high-rise design.
Energy-Efficient Engineering and Climate-Controlled Comfort
At street level, visitors enter through a dramatic 22-meter-high atrium that features a “floating” glass auditorium, creating a sense of openness and architectural lightness. The top of the building incorporates an open space beneath the iconic “portal” frame, where wind turbines generate a substantial share of the tower’s electricity needs. Combined with triple-glazed windows and advanced insulation, these systems make Torre Cepsa one of the most energy-efficient commercial buildings in Europe. To guarantee optimal indoor conditions throughout all 45 floors, Condair RS steam humidifiers are installed across the tower, ensuring a stable, comfortable climate that enhances occupant well-being and protects sensitive materials.

The Condair RS steam humidifiers boast patented limescale management which prevents permanent deposition of limescale on heater rods. Limestone crusts are successively detached and removed from the steam cylinder into the limescale collection vessel. Limestone management ensures extremely short waiting times and a long life.
The innovative control system fitted with a touch display ensures outstanding transparency of function and precise steam delivery. The units are the result of decades of experience and they define the state of the art in modern steam humidification.
