Humidifiers instrumental at Musiktheater Linz

As one of Europe’s most advanced opera houses, the Musiktheater Linz combines striking architecture with world-class acoustics. Its modern stage technology and expansive foyer areas demand a stable indoor climate to protect materials, support performers and deliver an exceptional experience for visitors.

Humidity control for perfect acoustics and comfort

To support the venue’s demanding performance schedule, the building relies on the Condair DL hybrid humidifier for precise, hygienic humidity regulation – stabilising acoustics, safeguarding sensitive interior elements, and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for audiences, musicians and staff across all performance spaces.

Musiktheater, Linz

with Condair DL

With the completion of the Musiktheater in early 2013, the state capital of Upper Austria has not only created a venue with outstanding acoustics, but has also created a modern building that leaves its mark on the urban landscape. The building is based on a design by the British architect Terry Pawson and features a generously dimensioned main foyer whose floor-to-ceiling glass facade is extended visually up to the green space of the neighbouring park. The auditorium itself is designed as a compact tiered theatre with connecting staircases inside the hall to ensure a good view of the stage and perfect acoustics from all 970 seats. Steamed acacia wood on the walls and ceilings and light oak floor boards form a matte shell, against which golden balconies are contrasted. Condair DL hybrid humidifiers guarantee outstanding atmospheric humidity throughout the interior.

Condair DL

The Condair DL is the next generation of the Condair Dual2—the world's most successful system for adiabatic humidification. Its hygienic credentials have proven successful in practice and were verified and certified by independent organisations with public responsibility.

Hybrid humidification relies exclusively on the advantages of atomisation and evaporation. This results in the sustainable resolution of key problems which can emerge when these technologies are used in isolation. The humidification system is therefore the first choice in terms of hygiene, energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
