Humidification for Schunk Carbon Technology, Austria
A controlled indoor climate with optimal humidity all year round not only protects the health of employees from the office to production, but also ensures the quality of the high-quality carbon products.

Humidity protects health
As early as 2010, the technology company began to equip an open-plan office with direct room air humidification, reports Markus Preimesberger: "At that time, our employees complained about dry airways, burning eyes and skin irritation. Measurements showed a relative humidity of less than 30 percent, so we looked for ways to additionally humidify the air." For the selective humidification of the open-space office, the company chose direct room air humidification with DRAABE NanoFog nebulizers. In a second phase in 2012, additional DRAABE TurboFog nebulisers were retrofitted in the production areas for quality assurance.

Quality assurance and well-being
With the direct room air humidification used, an optimal humidity of 40 to 45 percent is specifically ensured in all working areas. There are no more complaints about air that is too dry. The healthy, year-round constant indoor climate underlines the great importance of employee satisfaction and quality assurance for the company. The high standard of hygiene and maintenance is documented by the VDI certificate and the audit of the German Social Accident Insurance (AUVA in Austria).
