The New Development Bank headquarters: Sustainable design supported by healthy indoor climate

The New Development Bank, formerly known as the BRICS Development Bank, is a multilateral development bank established by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. It supports public and private projects through loans, guarantees, equity investments and other financial instruments. In addition, the New Development Bank cooperates with international organisations and financial institutions and provides technical assistance for projects supported by the bank.Since its opening in 2015, the bank has approved approximately US$25 billion in financing for projects in the areas of infrastructure, clean energy, transport and environmental protection.

The New Development Bank's new headquarters building is located on the grounds of the Shanghai Expo Park and, with 126,000 square metres of space, offers room for 2,500 technically modern and sustainably equipped offices. Since then, the company has not only been convinced of the positive effect of optimal air humidity, but also sees health protection as an independent corporate value.
