Protected wood
Since 2006, the Polish site in Wolsztyn has been one of the largest production companies of the NorDan Group: More than 200 employees produce 100,000 wooden windows for Scandinavia and Great Britain every year.

Quality assurance
NorDan applies high quality requirements both to the finished products and to the entire production process: energy efficiency, safety and environmental protection are primary goals. "Stable processes and production conditions are enormously important to us. Therefore, a consistently optimal humidity is also indispensable," explains lead engineer Maciej Sosiński. For air humidification, NorDan uses a high-pressure air humidification system to ensure a relative humidity of between 50% and 60% all year round. This protects the frames of the wooden windows from drying out and prevents damage caused by deformation and cracking.

Expanded several times
The ML Princess high-pressure system used is particularly suitable for applications in high halls and large humidification quantities. The low energy consumption and flexible expansion options were decisive for NordDan in choosing the right system. Thanks to multiple expansions of the system, the air is now humidified in all production areas, from cutting and painting to final assembly and the warehouse. "We are absolutely satisfied with the air humidification and have also opted for an ML system in our new plant," says Maciej Sosiński happily.

"However, the DRAABE full-service concept convinced us in terms of hygiene and operational safety, so that this system is also being used at other production sites. We have a system availability of 99% and everything runs smoothly."
