Healthy indoor climate with humidification at Laverana

After intensive planning and a one-year renovation period, the family-run company opened the new Lavera House in Hanover in 2019. The TurboFog direct room humidification system used ensures healthy humidity and at the same time creates a cooling effect in the warm season.

Vitalising building

The administration building with around 130 office workplaces and a total of 1,700 m² of office space has a glass roof and five floors that frame a light-flooded atrium in the centre of the building. The decision for additional humidity was made at Laverana for two reasons, recalls Katja Heinemeier, who, as assistant to the management, also had the construction management for the redesign of the building: "Especially in autumn and winter, we want to protect the health of our team from excessively dry air in the offices. In spring and summer, the glass roof often makes it too warm in the offices. The possible cooling effect of the air humidification was another reason for us."

Healthy humidity

This double benefit is realised by the Condair direct room humidification system used. A total of eight TurboFog humidifiers are in use directly on the 3rd floor of the atrium. Since the office doors leading off the atrium are usually open, it is not necessary to humidify the offices separately. The optimal humidity can thus be achieved economically. "My colleagues are thrilled with how noticeably fresh the indoor climate is now and how healthy it protects against dried out mucous membranes and respiratory infections," says company spokeswoman Sabine Kästner-Schlemme, summarising the positive experiences.
